Purpose/Mission of Organization
The objective of the project: We will study African American menthol smokers’ reaction to a menthol ban (federal or local) and their awareness/access/and utilization of cessation resources using survey data. We will also assess potential health risk reductions when menthol cigarettes are removed from the market and menthol smokers quit smoking by measuring biological aging and chemical exposure.

Job description
• Assist with project recruitment in community events
• Screen for eligibility, consent, and recruit study participants
• Maintain research documentation
• Contribute to manuscript writing for the ongoing project
• Collect biospecimens (nasal brush and urine)
• Research assistant may possibly split time between being remote, being in the community-based events, and being in the laboratory
