A new era in the Global Public Health offering of the OSU College of Public Health began in May 2013 with the introduction of CPH undergrad course PUBHLTH3189.01: Field Experience in Global Public Health: India. I had the pleasure and privilege of proposing and directing this course held on the campus of Manipal University; 17 students from Ohio State spent four weeks undergoing intensive training on Global Public Health with class-room instruction and 12 field visits.  Above is the snapshot of the pioneering batch of happy Buckeyes taken on Mysore Palace grounds.

 India Public Health - 2016

I offered the IPH Field Experience for the fourth and final time in May 2016.  Eighteen undergraduates and one graduate student participated in the program.

What a great experience and life-time of memories of interacting with 74 young Buckeyes who have gone to change the world we live in!  That is Public Health!!
