2024 Social Impact Panel

City Year is hosting its Social Impact Panel for Ohio State students at 5 p.m. Feb. 1 to learn about Peace Corps, Teach for America and City Year. Register for the online panel.

During the panel, City Year will share about hiring AmeriCorps members for summer 2024.

City Year is currently in the process of hiring people from all majors to serve as AmeriCorps Members during the 2024-2025 school year, with full-time positions starting in July and August.

The next application deadline for the 2024-2025 service year is Feb. 2. Applications take around 45 minutes to complete and include the ability to choose which city you wish to serve in.

During their gap year of service, City Year AmeriCorps Members receive a living stipend, health benefits, professional development, student loan forbearance, an education award of approximately $7,300, and access to a variety of graduate school scholarships through its university partnerships program.

City Year, believes all children can succeed and student potential is limitless. However, access to educational opportunity varies due to system inequity in our country. City Year AmeriCorps members support students' social, emotional and academic development while providing schools with additional capacity to enhance learning and belonging. In 29 locations across the country, AmeriCorps members serve full time for 10 months as tutors and mentors, working on teams and in collaboration with our public-school partners to provide additional adult support to students who need it.
