CPH graduate student was top American finisher in 25 meter sport pistol

Katelyn Abeln, a graduate student at the College of Public Health, finished eighth in 25 meter sport pistol at the 2024 Paris Olympics. It was the first time the United States had a female athlete make the Olympic finals in the event.
Abeln also competed in 10 meter air pistol, where she placed 24th as the top American in the event. Abeln is a member of Ohio State’s pistol team and helped the team win four consecutive national titles from 2021 to 2024.
