Amy Dupper, a PhD student in epidemiology, took home the top prize in the oral presentation competition for parasitology — the study of parasites, their hosts and the relationship between them — at the Conference of Research Workers in Animal Diseases held in Chicago in January.

Dupper’s presentation was titled “Concurrent therapeutic and behavior interventions reduce emerging Dracunculus medinensis worms in dogs in Chad.” Her presentation focused on her research with Professor Rebecca Garabed.
