The Center for Clinical and Translational Science is presenting its Faculty Research Mentoring Workshop on Dec. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The facilitators are Jennifer Garvin, College of Medicine, and Jennifer Muszynski, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and College of Medicine. Faculty from who are mentors or will be mentors for research trainees will benefit from the training.
The workshop uses a case-based, discussion-oriented curriculum designed by the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experience in Research (CIMER) that is theoretically grounded, evidence-based, and culturally-responsive. The training is designed to help faculty who mentor early career researchers, especially junior faculty, to become more effective research and career mentors.
