How can we use co-design to create solutions that empower people to adopt healthier lifestyle behaviors? Graduate students will explore both current strategies and use co-design approaches to explore lifestyle behavior change with a focus on physical activity, diet and sleep.
Diabetes, cancer, stroke, and heart disease are major global causes of death. Lifestyle choices, such as regularly engaging in activity, following a healthy eating pattern, avoiding obesity, and getting sufficient sleep significantly reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases. However, most American adults do not adhere to recommended guidelines for physical activity, diet, and sleep.
