Faculty Women of Color in the Academy National Conference

The 12th annual professional development conference is April 11-14, both in person and virtual.

FWCA is a unique educational and professional development conference that provides a professional counterspace to be in community with peers from around the country who have shared intersectional experiences in the academy.

Faculty members, college administrators, independent scholars, consultants and entrepreneurs, deans, provosts, and even university presidents from all across the United States gather for a dynamic 4-day experience to engage in critical and culturally relevant dialogue that builds resiliency and grit as women navigate their pathways to success and career advancement in academia.

The conference features:

  • Keynote speakers- Cherrie Moraga, Dr. Gabrielle Tayac, and Dr. Menah Pratt
  • Signature Leadership Panel - Mariam Lam, Victoria Terriquez, and Javaune Adams-Gaston
  • Featured scholars - Victoria Reyes, and Stephanie G. Adams, PhD
