The Ohio Policy Evaluation Network (OPEN) conducts rigorous, impactful and forward-thinking social science research about the reproductive health of Ohioans. Our multiple interdisciplinary research projects assess reproductive health equity, health outcomes, cost, access, and autonomy in the context of federal and state laws and policies. OPEN seeks two graduate research assistants (GRA) for the 2025-26 academic year to work primarily with Ohio State faculty leading individual research projects. In some cases, they may also work with collaborating faculty at other OPEN-affiliated institutions.
GRA tasks may include:
- Reviewing literature
- Developing and piloting project materials such as surveys
- Preparing regulatory paperwork, including grant reporting or materials for ethical review
- Drafting or updating standard operating procedures for project activities
- Processing data
- Analyzing data, particularly quantitative data, including surveys, chart review, and large public datasets
- Writing research reports, abstracts, and papers to be submitted for peer-review
- Organizing and participating in research team meetings and conference calls
- Developing conference presentations or webinars
- Extracting data from medical charts
