Washington DC Health Policy Trip

Apply to May 15-16 trip by March 7.

The College of Public Health is bringing back a health policy-focused trip to Washington, DC. The trip will be on May 15 and 16 (leaving the evening of May 14) and students will visit the Ohio State Government Affairs team in DC, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Food and Drug Administration. The cost is around $1,400 but each attendee will receive at least a partial scholarship. Up to 10 students will be selected from our graduate and undergraduate programs in public health.

Application includes short answers to three questions. Deadline to apply is March 7.

Students should prepare answers to the following:

  1. What are your career interests and goals? Describe how a policy-focused trip to Washington, DC will help you in meeting them. (2500 character limit)
  2. How will you apply this policy-focused trip to your educational studies? (1500 character limit)
  3. What is the main reason you are interested in going to Washington, DC to learn about health policy? (1500 character limit)
