Amid increased political tensions, nonpartisan voter advocates, including social work professionals, are using trained peacekeepers to diffuse potential conflict at polling locations and ensure everyone can cast their ballot free from interference.
This training will provide an overview of de-escalation skills and behaviors, explain rules for nonpartisan voter engagement, and connect participants to volunteer opportunities as Election Protection Peacekeepers for the Ohio Special Election on Tuesday, August 8.
