This specialized workshop is designed by graduate students, for graduate students, to explore core competencies, support professional development and build community across graduate students. 

Join the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning’s Graduate Consultants for our GTA Toolkit: Facilitating Effective Group Work on November 21, 2023, from 11:00am – 12:30pm in Student Alumni Council Room, Ohio Union (2nd floor). Lunch will be provided.

In this toolkit, instructors will learn strategies and best practices for facilitating effective group work in their courses. 

As a result of this workshop, participants will be better able to: 

  • Identify the benefits of group work within and beyond the classroom
  • Gain confidence crafting a variety of group work activities that reflect course goals
  • Explore strategies to identify and manage challenges related to group work
  • Reflect on methods to conclude and assess group work

All graduate students, regardless of teaching experience, are welcome to attend.
