The first Infectious Diseases in Appalachian Ohio Summit will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at Heritage Hall on Ohio University Athens Campus.
This inaugural event will feature Ohio State professor Tim McDermott, DVM to discuss the current state of ticks and tick-borne disease in Ohio.
The summit aims to:
- Examine the current state of infectious diseases (IDx) in the region
- Discuss the perceived public health needs and programmatic strengths related to IDx.
- Explore methods to measure significant impact of IDx interventions in Appalachian Ohio.
