A panel led by alumnus Shaifali Ray '03 MHA will discuss the new regulations in the Affordable Care Act.
Starting May 1, these regulations require health care providers to identify and address bias related to race in clinical support tools. Race has been identified as an unreliable factor in many clinical decision support tools and medical specialty societies have recommended removal. Addressing this within health care organizations’ systems and processes can be challenging, and there are upstream and downstream impacts. This event is sponsored by the College of Public Health Alumni Society.
