Join us at the REAL Summit and learn from Renée Branch Canady, PhD, MPA, CEO of the Michigan Public Health Institute and author of “Room at the Table: A Leader’s Guide to Advancing Health Equity and Justice.”
Dr. Canady is a national thought leader in health inequities and disparities, cultural competence and social justice. With experience in academic and health department settings, Dr. Canady has influenced the way public health leaders center equity and promote health and well-being for all.
Her discussion, Our Clients, Ourselves: Embracing Community Through a Health Equity Lens, will frame the importance of community voice and engagement, highlighting ways to integrate the principles of equity - including power sharing - to ensure programs and initiatives are culturally responsive and built with community.
