Andrea Garringer, MSL, MBA

As assistant dean for finance and administration and chief administrative officer, Andrea oversees the finance, human resources, information technology, data analytics, facilities and faculty administrative support functions for the college.

For more than 20 years, she has been taking care of the people, finances, projects and business processes of public and private sector organizations. Prior to joining the College of Public Health in November 2020, Andrea served at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs in a variety of roles, including chief administrative officer. Before joining the university, she worked for the State of Ohio in the Department of Mental Health in a psychiatric hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio before being promoted to the department's central office coordinating administrative operations for seven regional psychiatric hospitals. Andrea also worked with a variety of small private organizations in Central Ohio.
