Tailored education helps you reach public health goals

College of Public Health advisor meeting with student

As a Public Health Buckeye, your education will be defined by incredible connections to people and opportunities at The Ohio State University and beyond. You will protect and promote the health of all people. You will be part of a community that values equity, service, leadership and excellence through diversity. You will pursue innovative, rigorous and relevant research.

Through it all, you will develop relationships with faculty, mentors, college staff and peers who will deepen your experiences in and out of the classroom.

Each student in our master’s and doctoral programs is matched with a faculty advisor and has access to mentors in our applied practice experience, integrative learning experience and administrative residency programs.

Your academic advisor is always an email, call or office-hours visit away to discuss any career and academic questions you have.

As you decide on Ohio State for your public health education, we are committed to helping you learn what your education can be and connecting you to faculty and students who can share their experiences and the possibilities that await, whether it be:

  • How you can be a part of innovative, influential research that addresses public health challenges
  • What student organizations will allow you to engage in deeper learning, networking, community service and developing as a public health or health care leader
  • What the classroom experience in smaller class sizes is like, and how it affords students personalized attention
  • Who you’ll build relationships with as part of our cohort model, designed to create a support system for you throughout your educational journey

This personal touch tailored to your needs is a cornerstone of the College of Public Health, where you will always have a community to lean on, and a chorus of voices cheering you on.
