Community of Inclusion

The Ohio State University College of Public Health understands that a culture of inclusion essential to understanding and appreciating the world beyond our individual perspectives.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Community of Inclusion developed by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence Committee. This is a space to share, find and discuss opportunities to expand your knowledge, understanding and competency. It is designed to enhance our academic community. 

About the program

The Community of Inclusion uses CarmenCanvas as a space where students, faculty and staff can discuss, share and find resources for teaching, learning, trainings and special events designed to:

  • Increase awareness of concepts related to belonging, civil discourse, diversity and inclusion
  • Increase knowledge of various cultures and backgrounds and the experiences of members of those groups
  • Develop skills to participate in and support cross-cultural communication
  • Increase capacity to lead efforts in and around the college to achieve its goals for and honor its commitment to inclusive excellence
