Future BSPH Buckeyes

Admission to The Ohio State University is competitive. All future Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) students must first apply and be admitted to the university. Students must indicate 'Public Health' on the application as your desired major.

Admission Criteria

Prospective First-Year students

New first year students admitted to Ohio State for Public Health are directly admitted to the college as a Public Health Major.

In this case, students will select a specialization (Public Health Sociology or Environmental Public Health) prior to the start of autumn semester.

Prospective Transfer Students

Students transferring to Ohio State will be directly enrolled in the pre-major once they are admitted to Ohio State. Transfer students are encouraged to apply for the major if they have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum of 15 credits from the college or university in which they last earned transfer credit.

Access the application for the BSPH major, open from December 15 to May 15.
