Admission to The Ohio State University is competitive. All future Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) students must first apply and be admitted to the university. Students must indicate 'Public Health' on the application as your desired major.
Prospective First-Year students
For the autumn 2021 semester, the submission of SAT or ACT test scores is optional. Students admitted to Ohio State for Public Health are directly admitted to the college as a Pre-Public Health Major. There is a separate application required for admission to the major once you are a student at Ohio State.
Students admitted to Ohio State as Honors students will be directly admitted to the BSPH major. In this case, students will select a specialization (Public Health Sociology or Environmental Public Health) prior to the start of autumn semester.
Prospective Transfer Students
Students transferring to Ohio State must have a minimum 2.80 cumulative GPA and a minimum of 30 credits from the college or university in which they last earned transfer credit to be directly enrolled as a Pre-Public Health major.
If students are looking to transfer into the BSPH major or you want to learn more about the Global Public Health or Epidemiology minors, please call 614-292-8350 or email cphosu [dot] edu, and we will get back with you as soon as possible.
